Lauren's Senior Portraits at historic Oak view park & Horseshoe farm nature preserve
Lauren knew right away that she wanted to start her session at Historic Oak View Park, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect choice. Even with an unexpectedly hot September evening, she was absolutely glowing from start to finish. Her fun, easygoing personality made every moment feel effortless.
As we explored the historic buildings and gardens, the evening light seemed to follow Lauren everywhere she went. Her white dress paired perfectly with the soft greenery and classic charm of Oak View, especially near the white picket fence, one of my favorite spots from the session. The gazebo was a must for Lauren, inspired by a dreamy sunflare look, and we hit it at just the right moment as golden hour settled in, creating the glow she had envisioned.
After an outfit change, we made our way around the farm, finding another charming white fence, a peaceful fruit orchard, and ending near the pecan grove. Each spot offered something a little different, and as the light continued to soften, the session took on an even more relaxed, natural feel.
The following week, we met again for Lauren’s second half of her session, where we were able to capture the open field at sunset vibe she was looking for to wrap up her senior portraits. We met at Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve just as golden hour arrived, and the light could not have been more perfect. This portion of the session felt extra meaningful, as her mom joined us, the weather was perfect and Lauren was completely in her element by this point.
Lauren, I’m wishing you the most amazing senior year ahead—one full of growth, laughter, and memories you’ll carry with you long after graduation. It was an absolute joy photographing this chapter of your life, and I’m so grateful I got to be part of it.
